A Beautiful Line?
08.02.04 (10:00 pm)   [edit]
August is one of the most important yet troublesome period for me. Another on would be October. Well, let’s talk about present, instead of the uncertain future. For some weird reason, I know many people who are born in the month of August. 4 Aug, 8 Aug, 11 Aug, 13 Aug, 18 Aug, 28 Aug? (let me check…hope that my daughter wont kill me for that) 31 Aug…That’s bad. Worse still is that as a gentleman, I am not suppose to forget the ladies’ birthday and to show my sensitive side, I need to google up some nice pick up lines/well wishes that wouldn’t sound so antique yet not too contemporarily erotic.

Let me see what can I find in google:

-Damn, if being sexy was a crime, you'd be guilty as charged! (must be a policeman cant wait to get laid)

-Apart from being sexy, what do you do for a living? (waiting for you to get laid? Of course not!! @$$hole!)

-Can I flirt with you? (is it just flirt or am I expecting more than that)

-I'm good at math, U+I=69 (man…hope that girl is not a math major)

-If I could rearrange the alphabet, I'd put U and I together. (too bad…you cant)

More in cosmopolitan (April 2004 edition)…too bad it’s been ripped off. Hey. It’s my friends copy…I read that once in a while though.

However, nothing beats those in "A Beautiful Mind":
.
Nash: I don't exactly know what I am required to say in order for you to have intercourse with me. But could we assume that I said all that. I mean, essentially we are talking about fluid exchange, right? So could we go just straight to the sex?

Nash: You're still here.
Alicia: I'm still here.
Nash: (almost inaudibly)Why?
Alicia: I was wondering Professor Nash, if I could take you to dinner?...You do eat, don't you?
Nash: On occasion. Table for one, you know how it is. Prometheus, chained to the rock, birds circling overhead. No, I expect you wouldn't... Leave your address with my office. I'll pick you up on Friday at eight...We'll eat.
One more thing. Do you have a name or should I just call you 'Miss'?

Alicia Larde (Jennifer Connelly): Boy, you must really be important.
What are you working on?
Nash: Classified.
Alicia: Everybody waited half an hour. Class. You missed class today.
Nash: Ah well, I am confident they did not miss me.
Alicia: The problem you left on the board, I solved it.
Nash: No, You didn't.
Alicia: You didn't even look.
Nash: I never said the vector fields were rational functions...Your solution is elegant though ultimately incorrect.

(wow, more like you are beautiful but ultimately not my type)

Nash: I find that polishing my interactions in order to make them sociable requires a tremendous effort. I have a tendency to expedite information flow by being direct. Often I don't get a good result.
Alicia: Try me.
Nash: I find you very attractive. Your aggressive moves toward me indicate you feel the same. Still ritual requires that we continue a number of platonic activities before we can have intercourse. But all I really want to do is have sex with you as soon as possible.
Are you going to slap me now?

And the most touching of all :

Nash: I've always believed in numbers. In the equations and logics that lead to reason... I've made the most important discovery of my life. It is only in the mysterious equations of love that any logic or reason can be found. Perhaps it is good to have a beautiful mind. But it is a better gift to discover a beautiful heart . . . I'm only here tonight because of you. You're the only reason I am... you're all my reasons.

(By the way, this is also a Hollywood gimmick)

What happened in the end? I decided to write my own lines. Not sure if I'll ended up getting slapped on the face, not even sure if I am going to utter out those words.
